Patty Fuhrman, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2025 at her home.
Born to John and Janet Fuhrman, Patty was a life-long resident of Huntington, NY. She retired from the Town of Huntington after a 30 year career, having been a dedicated employee and passionate supporter of her hometown throughout her entire life. Pat never met a stranger, loved to laugh, and accumulated countless memories riding horses at Caumsett Park, tanning at Fire Island beach, and loyally cheering on her Pittsburg Steelers since childhood.
A lover of all animals; Patty especially cherished her rescue dog Charlotte, who filled her life with unconditional love and constant companionship.
Patty loved her family immensely and always made an effort to stay connected so she could follow along with her sibling’s lives, and her nine nieces and nephews. It’s hard not to smile when remembering the epically long voicemails Patty was known to leave over the years, which most often ended in ”I love you so much!”. One thing is certain, she had a big heart.
Patty is survived by her four sisters and proceeded in death by her parents and brother.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future time and our family gratefully appreciates all your thoughts and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patty’s memory to the Little Shelter Animal Rescue and Adoption Center 33 Warner Rd Huntington, NY 11743 or Littleshelter.org
